GRANTS

Working as a "donor advised fund," CarbonFlip distributes grants through the Makeway Foundation. This enables it to issue tax receipts to donors and to donate more than $50,000 per year to organizations working in the field of climate action. Only Canadian registered charities can receive grants from CarbonFlip. However, in many cases, eligible non-profit organizations can work with a registered charity.

FOCUS

Priority is given to projects that contribute measurably to reducing emissions as ranked by drawdown.org and the United Nations' Six Sector Solution.

MAXIMIZING IMPACT

Emphasis is placed on leverage points, for example, pilot projects that can subsequently be replicated on a larger scale.
